perhaps you can ignore it, knowing that you didn't type it, and put it down
to a bug in the software. What scheme are you using for proof-reading?
What speech synthesizer? have you tried an alternative synthesizer?
Alternatively, use an earlier JAWS!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Wierd punctuation

Hi all;
  I have XP home and 10.0.
I have noticed when I proof read some of my editing, that when I come upon a
word, such as "am", that there is an exclamation mark after it.
I have tried to erase it and retype it, but it still comes out with he
exclamation mark.
Why is this, and how do I change it?

Thanks again.

Rich
