Do you have am! for am [without the exclamation] in your JAWS dictionary.
Press insert+d, and then ctrl-d for the default, and go down the list to
look for it. If it's not in default, it might be in the application's
dictionary - insert-d.

If you have am [without the exclamationin the .jdf ] delete it from the
dictionary by tabbing to the delete button, spacebar, and then over to ok
and spacebar.  Save with ctrl-s.

Hi Anette;
    How can I find if there are any editing marks turned on?
I have also noticed that even when reading a web page that JAWS picks up the
same punctuation.
It seems to always be with a [I am]
When I read the word, "am", JAWS says , am exclamation. When I have JAWS
read each letter, no exclamation is present.
I have not yet had a sighted person look at it yet.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Rich
