Oh ok from what I hear if you upgrade to Service Pack 1 JAWS 8 won't even
instal never mind run.

If the computer is brand new, then yes there is a set up process asking
questions and selections to be made. And Jaws 8 will not work with vista
unless it is the last update version 2173 hope this helps.

I have a friend who was given a Brand new Del Studio 17 laptop with VISTA
Premium, and he have a few questions about getting started.
When he turns the computer on for the first time, will he need to go
through
a start up process that will ask him all types of questions? If so, is
there anyway to avoid this process since JAWS is not yet installed?
Will JAWS 8.x work with VISTA Home Premium?
