David, Once you've created the tabs, open the Tools menu and choose Options. The first few controls on the Main tab are about the home page; there is a "use current pages" button you can press to save them. Note that this won't just save the tabs, but the one with focus when you press the button will be the one that has focus when you next start Firefox.
