As you are apparently using outlook Express, you need to uncheck the "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potential be a virus" checkbox, in the Tools, Options, Security tab. To get there, from the message list, press shortcut ctrl-shift-o for Options, and shift-tab; then right-arrow over to the Security tab control, and press tab key till you come to this checkbox. Uncheck it.
