It might be something in your firewall then. Or antivirus? What sorts of attachments are not being sent? or It could be that your ISP doesn't allow you send attachments of more than a limited size. Try sending a .txt file as an attachment. Anyway, we'd need more info to resolve the problem. If you get that message about security settings again, try to find which program has focus at that point by pressing JAWSKey+t and/or alt and tabbing.
