hmmm, i sometimes hear german before a link but the link is in english and shows as english in braille. and i have xp pro with a litetalk external synthesizer. will have try it with a vista machine and see how it does.

I should note that I have my Jaws language detection preferences turned off, so this might have something to do with your problem.

To turn off language detection, press insert+V and arrow down to the text options, where it says Language detection on or off.

If on, press the spacebar to turn it off.

If it says that it's off, then tab to the close button and press the spacebar to leave that dialog box.

Mind you, if this option is turned off, then you've got another problem other than language detection.
