Yes, it also happens to me and I'm also running vista home premium.
When JAWS stops talking, I route PC to JAWS and sometimes it reads out
what's happening.
I mentioned to the list before about the pre-installed programs, these
caused me problem, because while I'm on the Internet, sometimes box appeared
wanting me to update a program for example Office 2007, as this is
pre-installed in my laptop.
So, I tab to cancel or no.
But if JAWS doesn't talk at all, I press alt f4 couple of times, assuming I
close what I was doing, press windows key plus M, as this command takes me
to desktop, then press windows key, followed by W, U to shut down, and
finally down arrow twice, enter to shut down properly.
When I turned it on again, it works fine.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws freezing sometimes in vista?
Hi all
Just wondering has anyone found this problem, I could be doing anything,
today I've just been navigating the internet trying to search in combo
boxes, using messenger, and also just generally navigating web pages, and
I
find, that sometimes, for absolutely no reason I can figure out, jaws will
just stop talking and can take some time to start talking again, in order
for this to happen I normally press insert t but sometimes I will just
wait,
anyone else finding this problem?
And if so, what did you do to fix it?
I'm running vista home premium.
Thanks in advance,
Kerie Doyle
