The purpose of it (iGoogle is one word) is advertising! Well, I'm not
really sure what it is. I think those of us who use Google as a home page
get the iGoogle treatment? (I use google dot ie, for ireland.)

Using Jaws 9, Vista and IE 7 I have not observed this behaviour at
google.com or google.ca.

It's been going on for a while now and guess it's a change on Google's
part not ours.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Strange Google Problem

Hi Listers. I use Google as my primary search engine, and starting
yesterday, for no apparent reason that I can determine, JAWS started
announcing "Promote button" and "Remove button" after every heading in
the search results when I arrow down line by line from a heading.
However, hitting Space or Enter on these objects has no effect, so they
cannot be activated. I have not changed any settings in IE 7. This is
a
minor annoyance, but I would still like to know what the heck is going
on. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
