Yes, when set the same - or less than. The Customize Punctuation Dialogue
allows you to set what punctuation marks will be spoken in accordance with
the level you've set in the voices submenu etc. . If you have all
punctuation turned on in the PC voice, then the customize punctuation
dialogue is ineffective there, since you have it all already. (In other
words, you will not be able to silence any punctuation, until you change
from All to another choice (radiobutton) representing less spoken
punctuation.)

But the first line of defense is what level of punctuation you've chosen in
the voices settings. For example. If you set the PC cursor voice to some
punctuation, then any of the punctuation you set to some, in the customize
punctuation settings will be spoken. In other words, if the settings in the
PC cursor settings and the Customize Punctuation settings are the same, the
punctuation in question will be spoken. So, if the PC cursor voice is set
to some punctuation, and the exclamation point in the customize punctuation
is also set to some, then all exclamation points will be read. Hope this
wasn't too confusing.

In the configuration manager customize punctuation dialogue, when you switch
a punctuation setting to 'all' this means that JAWS will *silence* all
occurrences of a comma, or a period, or whatever it may be. . If you
switch to most, it means that JAWS will not speak (i.e. silence) most
occurrences of it. And then you can further customize these settings as you
proceed.

Yes, certainly makes sense to me. Except, I changed it from most to none.
also the other way
worked as well. Changing it in the global voice settings. So thanks to the
2 of you.
