Hello sherrie,
You might consider using the "hide read messages" choice in the current view
submenu. When you open the folder only unread messages will be listed. You
can easily switch back to the "show all messages" choice when you want to.
Use Alt-V to bring up the view menu. find the current view choice by using
up or down arrow keys, use right arrow to move into the list of choices for
the current view and then up or down arrow keys to find the various choices.
You can also use CTRL-U to move between unread messages in a list.
Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Another outlook Express question
Hi,
I have most of my mail sorted into folders and when I open a folder the
focus is always on the last message in a list. Is there any way to have
it focus on the first unread message like my Eudora does? Eudora might
not focus on the first unread message but the last one I read, maybe.
Anyway it is easier to start reading. With all the mailing lists I like
to read them in order and I always have some read messages awaiting some
action or other from me before I send them to my archive folders.
I am using XP home and Jaws 9.
Thanks for any advice.
Sherrie
