Hi:
The strange thing is I could download email but was blocked from going on
any web site. Does anyone have any idea why AVG free 8.0 is now requiring a
product code when reinstalling?

I've not had that problem, but I'm now using AVG Internet Security and I

block the internet if I choose but I'm not forced into doing it.
