You don't have to set it up to watch video on calls you make if the other
party has video. There is a "start my video" button when the call completes
which sends your video out. If the other party has a camera and selects this
option their video will come across to you. If they do not select that
option you won't see them.

my dad has got a external webcam, and plugged it into his acer machine,
installed the software, which is a microsoft web cam!
yeah, surprised myself!
now, he is using skype 4, i think, how does he set up the webcam, so he

use it to watch video on calls he makes.
had to sign up and sign into windows live id, which they did.
so any one done this before?
they are newbies, and not very tech minded and first time doing this.
