Interesting.  I never saw any such message.  I just clicked on the search 
for updates link, and downloaded Skype 4.0.  Besides, how does the website 
know whether the person downloading it is blind or not?

The people who are working on Skype 4 haven't yet resolved all the 
accessibility issues and when one tries to download the software, you are 
advised to continue using Skype Version 3.8 until all the accessibility 
issues have been resolved.

I downloaded Skype 4 but after trying to make a call to a landline phone, I 
reverted to the earlier version.  We will know in the course of time when 
the folks at Skype have got their act together.
