If it works the same way in Vista, you have to edit the Jaws.INI file. Here's an example of what it looks like. You'll have to personalize it to your system.

Hi I bought a USB sound card and would like to use it for the music and other computer sounds, while using the built in card for JAWS. How does one do this in vista? Thank you for your help. When you adjust the main or wave output of the sound card. it will effect all programs unless those programs have there own volume controls. The only way around this is with 2 sound cards. Then you can use one for main control of all programs that don't have sound controls. And the other to control jaws at what ever level you want it at. i got 2 cards in my box, and run jaws on main with system sounds, and all programs with there own controls on the second card. Vista will let you control all of this from its own nice sound controls. At 04:07 PM 3/1/2009, you wrote: >I really appreciate the separate control of each application's >volume level in Vista.
