I'm using Jaws 9. I assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that once authorized,
Jaws or the ILM system, puts some kind of a file on your computer so you
don't have to reauthorize each time you use the computer.

What version of Jaws are you using? In newer versions, it's just a 20
digit number. It doesn't have a file extension, if this is what you
mean.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Authorization key extension

I am having a friend help me clean some things off my computer in and
out of the registry. He knows what he's doing so that should not be a
problem.

However, if we clean some old Jaws files out, I want to make sure that I
leave the authorization key. What is the extension for the
authorization key or how do I identify it so as not to delete it by
accident?

Thanks.
