I want to be able to move specific play lists from iTunes to my iPod, and to
be able to move play lists in iTunes to a folder created in iTunes under the
Play list section of the source list. This can all be accomplished via the
mouse by my sighted husband and daughter. I have tried keyboard commands
for cutting, copying and pasting, as well as using the JAWS command for
dragging and dropping, none are working.

I want to manually sync my iPod, not have it done automatically, as I only
want specific play lists on my iPod. It is my understanding that I can copy
the individual items from iTunes to my iPod, but then that does not allow
you to use play lists to keep everything organized.

I have JAWS 10 and 9 and the latest version of iTunes that I updated to
yesterday. I have not seen any difference in iTunes at this point.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Help with dragging and dropping

Ok, I usually find reading the JAWS help can reasonably get me through using
a new command with out much trouble. This morning, that is not the case.

When in iTunes I want to see able to drag and drop play lists either into a
folder with in the play list section of my source list, or better yet, be
able to drag and drop play lists into my iPod when it is connected. I
attempted to use the Control+Insert+numpad / command, move the cursor and
repeat the command to drop. No clue what happened as next thing I knew
every time I pressed a key JAWS announced Window and then the name of the
key I pressed. Some how I got out of that mess, but I'm still confused on
how to use drag and drop.

I am using Windows XP, JAWS 10 at the moment, but can easily go back to 9,
and I have a laptop set to the JAWS desktop keyboard setting.

I know that I will have to use the function key to access the numpad. Do I
need the numLock turned on?

Do I have to do something special to move the PC cursor to ensure that I am
dropping in the correct place?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me understand dragging and dropping
with JAWS.
Annette
