There is also scripts for JAWS, called Jawter, that interact with twitter, 
so you never have to go to twitter.com or m.twitter.com.  See

  I've been on the "new" FaceBook, and personally don't fine it very
  twitter-like at all.  Personally, I like both, but find Twitter much morre
  accessible...Though, for a truly accessible experience, would recommend
  using AccessibleTwitter.com once you're signed up for Twitter...Just an
  easier interface, and actually works pretty well on Pocket PC SmartPhones.
