Hi Ann Marie, To turn collapsed messages off do the following. 1. Alt + V for the view menu. 2. Press enter on current view or press the letter "V". 3. Arrow up to " Group messages by conversation ", if this box is checked press enter to uncheck it. Once you have unchecked this box, this should stop your messages from collapsing. I hope this will fix your problem. Also, pressing enter on that box will take you out of the menues. Take care.

It means all your messages are being grouped by there subjects into a sort of tree. I like this view because you can do something to an entire thread at once. For instance if there was a long thread or just a thread that you didn't want to keep track of, you could just delete the collapsed message and it would delete the whole thread. If you want to go back to the old view though... hmm. Not sure. in windows mail you can go to the view menu, current view, group messages by conversation. Not sure about Outlook though.
