I don't think that having a topic * collapsed is a * problem.  No indeed:  It 
is a great boon.  If
your messages are grouped into "conversation" as the mark collapsed indicates, 
if you don't want to
read that string, you can delete the entire conversation with one press of the 
delete key.
However, if you do want to expand the conversation, you can do so by pressing 
the right arrow key.

Hi Ann Marie,

To turn collapsed messages off do the following.
1. Alt + V for the view menu.
2. Press enter on current view or press the letter "V".
3. Arrow up to " Group messages by conversation ", if this box is checked
press enter to uncheck it.  Once you have unchecked this box, this should
stop your messages from collapsing.  I hope this will fix your problem.
Also, pressing enter on that box will take you out of the menues.  Take
care.
