Radio, sure! Now, let us include a database or two that can be used very successfully with JAWS.
My favourite one is Reciva Radio, based at www.reciva.com/ with more than 16,600 radio stations to choose from, from locations all around the world. There is another Web-based service/database at www.vtuner.com/ and there is also a VTuner shareware program that can be downloaded from there. Sometimes, the ratings of stations on these sites can be interesting - 'most popular,' 'most unpopular,' on vtuner.com/ >, for example! Many of the table-top Internet radios use the Reciva database; and they apparently also do their own Internet radio sets. Radio time, at www.radiotime.com/ already mentioned in connection with SpeakOn, is of itself a very usable stations database with JAWS. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gerald Levy" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, April 25, 2009 8:34 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] accessible internet radio Another Internet radio player I use a lot is called Radio Sure. The buttons on the user interface are not labeled, but you can use the Context menu to access the various options. Radio Sure presents a combo box listing over 12,000 stations that you can choose by genre or location. You can check it out at: http://www.radiosure.com/news/ Gerald ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Robert kingett" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, April 25, 2009 1:48 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] accessible internet radio > hi all. does anyone know of an accessible internet radio service like last > F.M with a desktop client and evreything? last F.M is good, but not jaws > friendly. > Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: > http://www.jaws-users.com > Visit the Blind Computing home page at: > http://www.blind-computing.com > Address for the list archives: > http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] > To post to this group, send email to > [email protected] > To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to > [email protected] > For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject > or body of a blank message to: > [email protected] > Use the following address in order to contact the management team > [email protected] > If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the > following address: > [email protected] > Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [email protected] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [email protected] Use the following address in order to contact the management team [email protected] If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [email protected] Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [email protected] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [email protected] Use the following address in order to contact the management team [email protected] If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [email protected]
