Kurt and Glenn: I went to programs, jaws 10 and arrowed down to jaws and entered. There I found a bunch of new features and help stuff, including all about the auto forms mode and turning it off. What I found (and it would work by going to the configuration manager) is that when something says"on" you can turn it off by hitting the space bar. When I install a new jaws, I always go to basics and turn off most of the things that annoy me. So, jaws needs to be relearned now and then and that's what I'm now doing.
