If you have no new messages, when you press ctrl+m nothing is spoken. You can ascertain there are no new message with JAWSKey+ppageDown key.

I have my email set too check for messages every minute. But when I had service through verizon, that didn't matter, as it would check for messages anyway. Could this have anything to do with roadrunner service? or is there a setting that Needs too be changed under tools options.
