provide me with instructions on how too get into my router settings? Once
that happens, how do I begin the setup process from there. Are the
settings for the router on my desktop computer

that's on my desktop computer, too be setup and configured and setup for use
on my laptop computer.
you need to go into the router settings. Two things in there you need to
grab and right down somewhere.
1. The SSID, witch is what your router broadcasts to the computer.
2. The wep key, its the security that the router is set for and is easiest
to get going, and still be secure.
now you can use the same settings for verizon as road runner.
If you do have problems with it, let me know if want. I do this for a
living with verizon.
