The speakers are not state of the art of course. So I would recommend listening to music you might want to put on your netbook over earphones or something. But it is ok for jaws and audiobooks and so forth. My netbook has two usb outputs but you can get small usb hubs, which is what I use sometimes when I need to hook up more stuff. For on the go, the two usb ports are, for me usually, enough. Regards chrissy
