I need to say at this point, you didn't tell us here which version of JAWS you're using. What I wrote applies to versions of JAWS below JAWS10 - where insert-ctrl-s instead activates the Voice profiles dialogue. If you're using JAWS10, say.

Go into the configuration manager, and press ctrl-shift-d to open the Default configuration manager. then Press alt-s for Set Options, then s for synthesizer Options. Press the tab key. You now come to a combo box called "default synthesizer". Arrow to the synth you want as your default. Now tab forward (or shift-tab back) to OK, and activate with spacebar or enter. Now press ctrl-s to save your change; or, when pressing alt-F4, agree to save your change on the way out. ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Steve S." <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, June 22, 2009 8:05 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Saving Settings Thanks but that didn't do it. I changed synthisizers with ctr+Insert+S and would like to keep this change and can't remember the keystroke to do so. Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Derek Roberts" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, June 22, 2009 2:07 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Saving Settings > Hi, > > You need to change the setting in the jaws configuration manager (jaws key > + 6 on the number row.)
