The only way I have gotten around this is to use another screen reader
to create the hot key.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] problems getting my Jaws 10 hotkey to stick

Hi list,
I have Jaws 10 on my desktop. I installed it quite some time ago. I have
tried setting up a hotkey for it. However, the hotkey doesn't seem to
want to work. When entering the hotkey I want of control alt 0. I shift
tab away from the field. And then tab back to make sure the information
I entered is there. However, when I finish the process, and then try the
hotkey, nothing happens. I had the same problem with Jaws 9. But don't
remember what I did to make it work.
Does anyone have any ideas?
thanks Jason.S I have also recently installed the latest Jaws 10 update
too. But that didn't have any effect.
