Hi. A bit of clarification- I'm using Nero version 9.4. When I load Nero
Burning ROM, I get a dialog for burning a multi-session disc. There is not
option for erasing a DVD and nothing happens when I press Alt-R.

you should be able to press alt+r then w to erase.
