Not on any of the machines I've used or seen Avast on.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] avast and loossing some window sounds
I am using Avast antivirus standard edition. Occasionally, when I turn off
my computer and turn it back on I loose window sounds including start up
and shutdown. This appears to me after much trouble shooting on my part to
be an Avast issue. The resolution I found is to go in to add/remove
highlight Avast and select change remove which brings up choices. I have
to choose "repair" and wait to here "repair" was successful Then shutdown
the computer. On reboot the window sounds returns. Does this happen to
any of you using Avast?
