Thank you, Mike!
This Jaws users list is incredible. I certainly must admit that I am, in no
way a Jaws power user. Everytime I have written to the list, people have
responded, thus, I have already learned a great deal. Thank you all!
Yes, I am running Openbook 8.0. I will most definitely use these steps. They
will be very helpful in the future.

Hi Russ,
I have run into this problem several times in the past and following the
steps below saved my butt on these occasions. You will need Open Book
installed to use the steps below.
1. After Adobe opens the file and Jaws announces " Empty Document " press
Alt + F for the file menu.
2. Arrow down to print and press enter or press the letter P.
3. Arrow up to Freedom Printer and press enter. Doing this opens Open
Book
and Open Book will open and read this empty document.
4. To save this PDF document while Open Book has it there press the Alt
key,
right arrow to launchables and press enter.
5. Arrow down to Word and press enter and you can save it in Word .doc
format.
6. To save in " .doc " format press control + A to select all, Then press
control + C to copy, press control + V to paste the document into a new
Word
document, press control + S to save and name the document. You do the
selecting and copying while you are in Open Book. If you try to save it
as
a Word doc here, it will save as a Word doc in Open Book.
If you don't have Open Book installed, contact me off list and I'll see if
I
can help you out. Hope these steps help. Take care.
Mike

Subject: [JAWS-Users] PDF empty document
Hi everyone,
I was sent a PDF document by my school principal. I entered to have the
document prepared. After Jaws said, 100%, I heard, "Empty document."
Can anyone help me out here? I have received this message before.
Thanks,
Russ
