Yeah, you can make phone calls with i tif you want, but ya need to pay for
that. And personally I hate the voice quality on pc to pc calls.

Windows live Messenger will do many of the things that Skype does, but I
don't think you can make actual phone calls with it, but you can chat
with either text, voice, or video, and you can send files back and
forth, etc.
