Hello Richard,

Since jaws 8, you can use the dongle under the ILM authorization, if you
have a valid authorization code and the particular dongle had been
authorized and encoded for that version.

I still have to do that at the office, as, due to the server security
settings, I'm unable to complete the activation of the ilm version on
the interactive FS page.

I also need the dongle for openbook 7, but as far as I know, jaws 9 and
higher, no longer come out with dongle versions.

There's also something about the dongle, having to have been precoded
for the version one uses, on the specific machine, but this was so long
ago that I cannot recall the details.

What happens if you just try to register the ilm version in jaws 10?

Then you probably won't need the dongle anyway.

Regards,

Riana

Subject: [JAWS-Users] 2 things.

I'VE recently upgraded from Jfw 5 to 10, with a donggle version.
I've got 2 laptops and a desktop, but no matter what I try, I
can't get one of the laptops to work with the donggle. The
strange thing is, is that it's the newer of the laptops that I'm
having trouble with. the other one is considerably older. I was
just wondering whether there are known senarios where the donggle
won't work.

Secondly, what is "vidio intercept?". I get the message asking
me if I want to in/stall this when I boot up, but I just olt-tab
out of the dialogue.

Regards, Richard.
