A dedicated firewall is your best option when it comes to protection.
Windows Vista's firewall is better than nothing and better than the one in

I've used it in the past. It's old but from what I remember, accessible.
Might want to find Kerio Personal Firewall. I'm currently using this and
it works, but like Sigate, it's older. Believe the last accessible
version is 2.15.
