Thanks this is helpful I think you are probably right and these are sensible assumptions. As a lot of the page is about Malware it did occur to me that this might be a utility that you could run with other packages like, for example, super anti-spyware which also claims to detect worms Trojans etc whilst not being in conflict with anti virus programs. I agree however that as MSE explicitly describes itself as an anti-virus program we should assume that it will not work with other anti-virus programs installed.
My own licence for AVG Internet Security expires in about 20 days and I was about to consider switching to Eset Smart Security . If enough supplementary Information on MSE in the meantime emerges this may influence my decision. (This is the usual operating assumption (borne out by experience of users who've tried to run more than one simultaneiously) with antivirus programs.) Insofar as other, stand-alone, anti-spyware programs are concerned, it wouldn't conflict with them. For myself, as I have just recently resubscribed and upgraded version 4 of Nod32 security suite, for now I am pretty well covered. It would be nonetheless worth knowing how MSE does in comparison tests with other similar programs free, and paid. . ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Griffith" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, October 04, 2009 5:11 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] MSE Now Available >A remarkably unhelpful and dismissive response. > I have read these pages several times and I have not been able to > spot > whether there would be a conflict with other packages. > > David Griffith > > -----Original Message----- >>From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of tim > Sent: 04 October 2009 11:56 > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] MSE Now Available > > Read the page for it and it will tell you. > > At 09:12 PM 10/3/2009, you wrote: >>But can you answer David's question, below your message?
