Subject: [JAWS-Users] How do I dismiss the Winamp Update message?

I have Winamp to play MP3 files and such. When I click on a file Winamp plays the file alright but I cannot get to the application to start and stop or pause or any of that because of this darn New Version message which will not be dismissed. ALT-F4 doesn't kill it, there isn't a close option on the Applications menu, there isn't a File menu or any other with a Close option, there doesn't seem to be any way to get rid of it but to reboot. Second time in a given day it doesn't appear and I can go to the application and use the functions.

This really is Malware, an application which takes charge and will not be terminated.

So far as I can tell, the only advantage to having the new update might be to get rid of this notice and of course to fill up my computer with album art I suppose.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Dale Leavens.
