Actually it does. Only issue could be it's functions being largely oriented 
towards internet. But of course one can play files off-line as a guest user, 
but it has some limitations. Although not sure of the exact limitations of the 
guest user since I always used it online.

Does Klango have a decent media player as an alternative?  I haven't

I agree and it never worked for me as well and I had to close the program by
going to the windows task manager. But of course the update box appears only
when you are connected to the internet. The annoying thing is that they come
out with an update at least thrice a month and I wish that I could have an
alternative to this annoying program.
