Thanks again Microsoft for mass confusion! Windows Live Mail does have a
mail client! There are currently 7 programs you can download called the
Live Essentials package. You can select as many of these as you want to
download. They are:
Messenger
Mail
Writer
Photo Gallery
Movie Maker
Family Safety
Toolbar
To get these programs which all reside and run on your computer, go to:
get.live.com
So far, I do not like Windows Live Mail as much as Windows Mail. Perhaps it
will take some time to get used to using. I miss the simple things like
needing to press Control + D to delete a message rather than just pressing
the Delete key.
It seems Microsoft felt pressure to make Windows 7 seem slimmer than Vista
as well as avoid more court cases for being a monopoly. If you are using a
free antivirus or do not have one installed, I recommend uninstalling any
other free antivirus and installing the Microsoft Security Essentials as
well. I have found it accessible, unobtrusive and effective so far. You

As has already been stated, Windows Mail, and Windows Live Mail are too
completely different animals.
Windows Mail, is an e-mail client, and is available only with the Vista
version of Windows.
Windows Live Mail, is not installed on the system as an e-mail client,
rather, it is web-based mail, residing on a server.
The confusion of these 2 , is the fault of Microsoft,
as it is with Outlook, and Outlook Express.
People can become confused with these, as the terms are often used
interchangeably.
From what I have seen, the only type of e-mail client offered by
Microsoft,
that is not integrated into the operating system,
is Microsoft Outlook, which is generally included in the Microsoft Office
suites.

Setting up and installation is very easy, especially if you already have
another e-mail client installed. It will look in your other client for

of your settings, contacts, stored messages, etc. and import them. It

even import your feeds from Intenet Explorer if you have any.
A tip, however. when composing a message, you will noeed to go into forms
mode by pressing enter when you get to the body of the message. JFW 10
and
later don't always put you in virtual forms mode right away, and, of
course,
that feature doesn't exist in earler versions of JAWS.
