Hi Joanne,
The JHook.DLL file is a JAWS helper that is needed by JAWS to perform many
core functions. It is usually located in c:\program files\freedom
scientific\jaws\jawsVersion. Each version of JAWS has a version of
JHook.DLL that corresponds with it. You might have some trouble with a
later version of JAWS if you just move the JHook.DLL from an earlier
version's list of files. If the JHook.DLL is not showing in the path where
it should be located then you probably will need to do a repair of that
version of JAWS.
Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] problem with a file called J hook.dll
I deliberately spaced between the J and the Hook so it would sound right,
but really it's like this: jhook.dll. There have been some crashes and a
sighted friend says the problem is not having this file. I can't find it
anywhere in Enu but it's apparently needed to make programs work right.
How do I find and install this? Or are we possibly dealing with ... not my
favorite thing ... a complete install of all my Jaws versions? I have 10
and 11 and programs are needing it. Any help is appreciated.
