I prefer Accessible Podcatcher because of its simplicity and JAWS
accessibility. It was designed specifically for the needs of blind users.
Once you have added your podcasts of interest, they are available instantly
without having to first download them, and the fast forward function lets
you skip forward in one minute intervals to quickly bypass content you don't
want to hear. As for Klango, it is more than a podcast player, but a
complete, self-voicing media program for the blind. It contains thousands
of radio stations and podcasts that cover every conceivable genre and topic.
There are hundereds of podcasts on computers and technology alone. Klango
is completely self-contained, and it would take hours to explain all of its
features. If you're interested, check out the links below:

Gerald,
Thanks for the clarification. So when you say the RSS feed
will alert me as to when new content is posted, does it
automatically download and put it into a folder like Juice
or do you need to go to the site and then choose to listen
or download. Other question is why do you prefer Accessible
POD catcher and Klango? Are these two separate programs and
where would they be available?
thanks
Al

IE 7 and 8 have a built-in RSS feed reader that can be used
to subscribe to
podcasts. When you subscribe to a podcast feed, you will be
alerted
whenever a new
podcast is posted, which you can listen to using your
default media player.
I subscribe to more than 50 RSS and podcast feeds using the
feed reader
built into IE 7, and I check my feeds twice a day for new
content. It is
one of the best features of IE 7 and 8, and is totally
accessible with JAWS
8 and higher. However, not all podcasts have a feeds, so
you may still want
to continue using Juice to listen to such podcasts.
Personally, I prefer
Accessible Podcatcher and Klango.

Not being one to rush things, I am still with I E 6. Now
that I have JAWS 11 installed I would like to go to I E 8
to
take full advantage of the JAWS 11 features. My question
is
will I still need a POD catcher (currently using juice)
with
I E 8 or does that have a feature built in to do what
juice
currently does. Thanks
