Check that hide inactive icons isn't checked. This can be found in taskbar
and start menu properties. In XP it's under the taskbar page, under the
notification area group, in Vista it's under the notification area page,
and in 7 you click the customize button and you can either tell it to
always show the icon, or, if you want, have all the icons always showing
by checking a box. In all cases click ok and JAWS should now be showing.
