Hi: Jaws don't work well with Putty. Use Cygwin instead.
I've been using Cygwin for quite a long time with Jaws and I have discovered that it's not perfect either. But it sure does work much better. I then installed BRLTTY to handle Braille instead of Jaws when using Cygwin, but of some reason I got issues with the libusb filter witch broke my Jaws Braille... So now I've ditched Cygwin, Jaws etc and use a Virtual Machine instead when I need Unix/Linux. So far so good. It's working very well. It's not as good as using Linux natively, but it's the best way (for me at least ) when I don't have a "real" Linux/Unix machine available. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jeronimo Schöber Sent: 26. desember 2009 07:58 To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] No cursor in putty Hello, is there anyone using putty (an ssh and telnet client). I don't see the cursor on the command line which is essential in using command lines. Or is there any alternative program which does display the cursor on the command line using Jaws?
