Once you place something in the public folder hit your applications key on 
it locally and you will find something like copy link or the like. At that 
point send that link to somebody else so they can download the file.

Debbie, I have dropbox and love it, but I have no luck with the public
folder.  When I place something in there, I am not able to get the link to
copy to the clip board.  Don't know why.  Other than that, it is great.
