I have never used alt F5.

However the following will work to create a folder both in a Windows
Explorer window and the save dialogue box in Word 2003.

In both cases make sure you are in folder list. In word press shift tab to
get there in the save as dialogue box.
Press F5 to make sure nothing is selected.
Press the application key.
Select new and then folder from the context menu.
Type in the name of the folder to replace new folder created .
Press enter to create the folder with the new name.
Press enter again to enter the folder.

Regards

David Griffith

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Create New folder

Good Morning,

I am now using JAWS 11 with Microsoft Word 2003 and am not able to create a
folder as easily as in past JAWS.
I used to be able to hit ALT 5, but now when I hit that combo I get message
stating "The requested header information was not found in this window."

Does anybody have any suggestions to creating new folder?

Your reply would be greatly appreciated.

Shirl
