This is actually a very handy feature, except when you want to start the movie over again! Your current position within a Netflix instant streaming movie is stored on the server. So even clearing out cookies or even going to a different computer or device will not help start the movie from the beginning! Currently the only way to go back to the beginning of the movie would be to drag a slider all the way to the left at the bottom right of the screen or to just let the movie play all the way to the end and then play it again.

Their customer service is very pleasant, Call 1-866-716-0414 for help.

I called last week. She said that they currently do not have any hotkey capability during PC playback. She indicated that she would document my desire for that feature and indicated their Engineers were working on that issue. I do not think Microsoft's Silverlight platform is very helpful or accessible here. If many people call requesting this feature, they might give it a higher priority!

She also verified that they currently have over 100,000 DVD titles and over 17,000 instant streaming titles. They constantly get new titles. In August, the number of instant streaming titles was 12,000. I understand that about half of the new titles are available for streaming as well as by DVD.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] question about the netflix movie viewer

I have joined netflix and love it. When looking at a movie on my computer, I can't start it from the beginning. In other words, I had to stop it, went back, and it started where I left off and I can't find a way to start it from the beginning without sighted help. Any suggestions? I am using Windows XP professional, and Jaws 11, or my lap top is windows vista home premium and jaws 11. Thanks for any help if possible.
