Hi,
It may well work for you but this will be because of your ISP allowing
these
settings to work.
Many internet service providers will block emails sent through their
servers
unless it is under one of their account names. So for example if you
have a BT Internet or Wannadoo contract in the UK you will not be able to
send emails under smtp unless it is under an email address set up by them.
I had this happening when trying to use a US isp with my German mail
provider.
However port 587 worked whereas port 25 didn't work for smtp.
I just tested David's settings for a friend's account and it worked
perfectly. I have looked for hotmail pop and smtp settings for quite a while
now.
Thanks
Jeronimo
