Hi Chris,
Thanks for the info, I'll give it a look.
I will have to have a look at the license to see if it is freely
distributable.
I have shyed away from hosting security software on the blind-computing
site,
because some of the packages have become large, and with changes
many good ones have become unusable with Jaws.
I may however, post a link for it, so others can easily locate it.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Free and accessible firewall

Hello all,
Amongst going through my e-mails I saw one I sent to the list about a
free and accessible firewall. now the time has come for me to tell you.
I've been trying Privatefirwall from www.privacyware.com. It uses a web
interface which seems to work well with JAWS. The system tray icon and
the context menus also work. So do the alerts that pop up. By default
though the alert only appears for 30 seconds (you can see the number of
seconds remaining when tabbing through the alert), so you need to be
fairly quick to decide whether to allow or block the application. During
installation, which uses the typical Windows Installer service,
applications you have installed are detected and thus allowed through by
the firewall, including JAWS.
Think that is all I have to say for now. Any comments or queries can be
sent on or off list.
Since it's free I am wondering if David or Rick can put it on their
programs page.
P.S. The program works with Vista and 7, but it should also work for XP.
Enjoy!
