Hi Catherine, The only way I have found to have JAWS read highlighted text is to switch to the "colors" scheme and read using the JAWS cursor. Use JAWS key with Alt and S as a keystroke to bring up the list of schemes, and use the letter "c" until you get the color scheme. Press enter on it. Even though JAWS switches to the colors scheme, I haven't been able to get JAWS to tell the change in colors using the PC cursor. However, switching to the JAWS cursor should read the colors as you use the arrow keys and in the SayAll mode. Using JAWS in SayAll will only have the screen read to you so you will have to use page down commands and then start JAWS in the SayAll mode again using the JAWS cursor to continue in a document.
I haven't found another way of getting JAWS to read the highlighted text. If someone else knows a better way I will appreciate knowing it. Highlighting color can be chosen by the individual user so I don't know if a script making use of the "FindColor" function would help or not. Take care.
