In addition, does open office include spreadsheets like MS xls, and can you
transfer .doc and .xls files to open office? Thanks for allowing me to chime

Hello all,
I have been away from this list for a couple of years, so apologies if any
of the topics I raise have been done before.
I recently downloaded the Open Office suite of programs. They do much the
same as the version of Office 2003 I am currently running. Whilst some
functions seem to work quite well, some things such as spellchecker, menus
and dialogue boxes don't seem to work at all.
I have put in the order to upgrade to JAWS 11 from version 9. I have
downloaded the demonstration version of 11 to see what works and to look
at
the new features. There does not seem to be any help files for Open
Office.
I have never worked with script files, but I have read of list members who
seem to know about this. Has any work been done to make JAWS work with
Open
Office?
