You're preaching to the quire as I am quite aware of the benefits of flac 
files. Never the less I thank you for your consideration to take the time to 
explain it to the rest of the list like this.

As a person who listens to a lot of music from my computer ...

I can say with complete  absolute and positive  certainty:

Once you try flac
You never go back

The problem is that a song that is a mp3 file even at a bit rate of 320
which might be 7 MB in size

Will be 24 MB in flac!

But the difference is incredible!
