Not all the folders in your programs directory as well. In that case, you'd be essentially doing a re-format.

As I said, I don't know how different it is with Norton 2009 with an XP machine, but I literally two days ago uninstalled Norton Internet Security from a new Windows 7 machine just as easily as uninstalling any other program.

The actual program where I needed sighted assistance was uninstalling those stupid Wild Tangent games that seem to come on every new computer. On only one occasion have I been able to find the Next button with that program using a screen reader.

You do have to use the Norton's removal tool and make sure all the folders in your programs directory on the c drive are removed as well. It's a stubborn program to get rid of even if you think you've removed it all, it has lurking folders buried everywhere..
I use AVG/9 the paid version and having no trouble at all..

Good Luck

Albert, I can't answer your question but I can tell you that microsoft
Security Essentials works great with xp and jaws 10 and probably 11. Give
it a try. And it's free. Marilyn

Also, Norton is very unuseable for a blind : person that uses screen reading technology. I'm using jaws 11, and windows
